In 1996, after seven years in the banking industry, Theresa opened the Money Concepts Russell office. She is an honours graduate of Kemptville College where she majored in Animal Science and Economics. Theresa obtained the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 1995, followed by her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1997. In addition to her investment background she also obtained her life, accident and sickness insurance license in 1996. Theresa also received her Elder Planning Councellor (EPC) in 2004.

Theresa and her husband Gerry have a son, Jonathan, and a daughter, Cynthia. Theresa is an active member of the community where she is the immediate Past President of The Russell Chamber of Commerce, the Past President of the Russell Agricultural Society, member of the finance committee for the Winchester Hospital Foundation as well as a broom ball coach for her daughter. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, curling, playing the guitar and watching her son play hockey.

Theresa is a firm believer that knowledge is power. Theresa will search through reams of information to help her Clients make informed decisions on the best ways to make their financial dreams a reality.

Joyce joined the Money Concepts team in March 2007 and brings with her a wealth of experience with over 16 years in the banking industry.

In her most recent capacity as an Account Manager for a major financial institution over the past 5 years, Joyce has always maintained a high level of professionalism and customer service with her customer-first approach.

Joyce resides in Embrun with her spouse Pierre and their 3 children and they are proud to be a part of the Prescott-Russell community. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys bowling, badminton and softball.

Lise Shannon

After 16 years in the banking industry as a retirement and mortgage specialist, then as a personal financial planner, Lise joined the Money Concepts team in 2004.

Lise is very conscientious about the high level of personal service she offers her clients. Her first priority is to ensure her clients understand the process and the outcome every step of the way. She strongly believes in continuing education and likes to keep up to date on issue related to her field of work. Research, planning and analysis are her strong points. Educating the client is as important to her as her own education.

Lise obtained her mutual funds license in 1997, her financial counselling diploma in 1998 and her financial planning designation (PFP) in 2002. She is qualified for the sale of mutual funds in Ontario and Quebec. She is presently studying to obtain her life insurance license.

Lise grew up in Vankleek Hill. She and her husband Marcel have two children, Joey and Sarah. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the cottage, nature walks, gardening and getaways with family and friends.

Cynthia Wever

Cynthia joined Money Concepts permanently in April 2009. Cynthia worked summers since 2005 at an area financial institution. In addition, she also worked part-time at Money Concepts. Cynthia is a graduate of La Cité Collégiale where she majored in Financial Services.

In 2009, Cynthia obtained her Mutual Funds license. In her spare time she enjoys a varied array of sports including broomball, ball hockey and soccer. She is also actively involved with the Russell Agricultural Society and has been a director and book keeper since 2007. Cynthia believes that people should take the time to prepare their financial futures. Cynthia is fluently bilingual in both French and English and is looking forward to helping people obtain their financial goals.

Cynthia shares her time between the Vankleek Hill and Russell Offices.
